Smart key replacement for push-start cars
A smart key, also called a proximity or keyless key, lets the car unlock when you touch the handle and start when you press the button. When it's lost or dead, the car won't start. We supply a new smart key for your make and model, program it to the car through the diagnostic port, and test the keyless entry, push-button start and remote buttons before we leave. Where the car allows, we remove the lost key so it can no longer start the car.
Car says "key not detected"?
The most common cause is a flat battery in the fob. Most push-start cars also have a backup: hold the fob against the start button (or the spot shown in your handbook) and press start. If that doesn't work, call us. A fob battery we can change on the spot, and if that's all it needs, that's all you pay for.
Spare smart keys
Many push-start cars come with only one key. A spare smart key made while you still have a working one is quicker and simpler than replacing the last one after it's lost.
